“An Insight into Linux Device Drivers”


Session Details:

Day1:

Session 1: [9:15 am – 10:45 am] [Theory] : Introduction to Linux internals. User and Kernel space

Session 2: [11:00 am – 12:45 pm] [Theory] : Introduction to linux device drivers

Session 3: [1:30 pm – 2:45 pm] [Practical] : Basic linux commands

Session 4: [3:00 pm – 5:00 pm] [Practical: Writing/Practicing Basic device drivers.

Day2:

Session 5: [9:15 am – 10:45 am] [Theory] : Char drivers with examples

Session 6: [11:00 am – 12:45 pm] [Theory] : Basics of Block drivers and Netowork drivers

Session 7: [1:30 pm – 2:45 pm] [Practical] : Writing/Practicing Basic char drivers

Session 8: [3:00 pm – 5:00 pm] [Practical: Writing/Practicing a full real time char driver

The workshop is conducted in December, 2011 tentatively.

The registration fee for students is Rs. 500/-.
