Objectives

The graduates of the Program will have solid foundation in the principles and practices of computer science, including mathematics, science and basic engineering.
The graduates of the Program will have skills to function as members of multi-disciplinary teams and to communicate effectively using modern tools.
The graduates of the Program will be prepared for their careers in the software industry or pursue higher studies and continue to develop their professional knowledge.

About us

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 1985 with its cohesive team of faculty members, offers a sound program at the UG as well as the PG levels. The curriculum is a blend of the conventional and the radical. It is updated regularly to keep up with the growing demands and the changing trends of the software industry and research laboratories. Also Department has a thriving research environment with active research groups in the areas of Bioinformatics, Data and Web Mining, Information and System Security, Computer Networks, Digital Image Processing and Video Analytics.

B.Tech - Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI&DS)

The AI & DS Department, established in 2021, offers the B.Tech – AI & DS (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) program with an intake of 120 students, focusing on providing a strong foundation in AI and data science, two rapidly evolving and impactful fields. The curriculum integrates core computer science concepts with specialized topics like machine learning, data mining, big data analytics, deep learning, predictive analytics, and natural language processing, ensuring students develop a comprehensive skill set in both artificial intelligence and data analytics. The department is supported by a team of expert faculty members actively engaged in research, and it provides state-of-the-art infrastructure, including advanced labs, software tools, and cloud platforms for hands-on learning. With a strong emphasis on research, industry collaboration, and real-world problem-solving, students have ample opportunities for internships, projects, and competitions. Graduates are prepared for high-demand careers as data scientists, AI engineers, data analysts, and other roles in industries such as technology, healthcare, finance, and retail.

B.Tech - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML)

The AI & ML Department at the institution was established in 2022 with the introduction of the B.Tech – CSE (AI & ML) program. This program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in both Computer Science and cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). With an intake capacity of 60 students, the department aims to produce graduates equipped with the skills needed to excel in AI and ML-driven industries. The curriculum integrates core subjects of computer science with specialized courses in AI and ML, enabling students to develop expertise in areas like data science, neural networks, natural language processing, and computer vision. The department fosters a collaborative learning environment, offering hands-on experiences through research projects, industry internships, and partnerships with leading technology companies. Students in this program have access to state-of-the-art labs, faculty with expertise in AI/ML, and opportunities for interdisciplinary learning. The department strives to nurture innovative thinkers who can contribute to the rapidly evolving world of AI and ML.
