Faculty<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t

<\/p>\n

The department has 30 faculty members which includes 14 Ph.Ds from prestigious institutions in various cadres. 12 faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D in various NIT’s\/Universities out of which 2 members are doing fulltime Ph.D and one 1 member is doing Post doctorate. The faculty is having active research in Power System Optimization, Deregulated Power Market, Renewable energy systems, Multilevel Converter and Inverter topologies, FPGA and DSP based electric drives. The department is also supported by 2 adjunct faculty members from industry to impart training on product development skills to the staff and students.<\/p>\n

Research<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t

<\/p>\n

The department has completed two sponsored research projects. The faculty is regularly publishing research articles in IEEE, Springer, Elsevier and Scopus indexed journals. A group of faculty members are working on product development like DSP based multi-function meters. In Electrical Machines Laboratory, all working tables are equipped with digital panel meters designed and fabricated by our own faculty.<\/p>\n

Placements<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t

<\/p>\n

The percentage of placement is about 80 to 85 in every academic year which includes both core and software companies. the major companies are Amararaja, TCS Ninja, Hexaware, Cap Gemini, TCS, CTS, Go-speedy-go etc.<\/p>\n
