Direct Assessment Tools

Home Assignment-Each and every student is assigned with course related tasks during every course work once or twice and assessment will be done based on their performance. Grades are assigned depending on their innovation in solving/deriving the problems.

Assignment Examination-The assignment is a qualitative performance assessment tool designed to assess students’ knowledge of engineering practices, framework, and problem solving.

Sessional Examination-This type of performance assessment is carried out during the examination sessions which are held twice a semester. Each and every sessional is focused in attaining the course outcomes.

Semester End Examination-Semester End examination is a metric for assessing whether all the POs are attained or not. Examination is more focused on attainment of course outcomes and program outcomes using a descriptive exam.

Rubrics– A rubric explains to students the criteria against which their work will be judged with the “scoring rules”. It makes public key criteria that students can use in developing, revising, and judging their own work
