Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the largest departments having\u00a035 faculty members including 24 Ph.D holders. Sponsored Research and Development<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t

The department has till date completed externally funded projects to the tune of Rs.198.28 lakhs including MODROBS. Presently the department is handling two projects worth of Rs 28.80 lakhs. The projects have been sponsored by esteemed organisations such as DST, DRDO,NSTL,UGC, AICTE etc. At present, the department has published 11 patents and filed3 patent applications. Several research papers have been published in SCI and Scopus indexed journals. The papers published are mainly in the research topics ranging from Composites, Alternate Fuels, Machine Condition Monitoring and Fault Diagnostics, FRP Composite Materials, Heat Transfer and Refrigeration etc. The department is a recognized research centre of JNTUK, Kakinada.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/5″ css=”.vc_custom_1605853277722{background-color: #f1f3f8 !important;}”]

The department is engaged in collaboration with several National organizations for promoting training, student internship, student projects, research & development activities. Siemens Center of Excellence established in the year 2017 \u00a0in collaboration with SIEMENS and APSSDC is continuously imparting industry relevant training to the students of the department. 3D Experience Center established in the year 2018 by APSSDC in collaboration with Dassaults Systemes fulfils the aim of making students Industry-ready. The department has MOUs with following Organizations such as NIT Warangal, AVANTEL Limited, STARPLAST Industries, PRAKASA SPECTRO CAST Pvt. Ltd. and SYNERGEM, M\/s Ramesh Aerospace Products & Services Pvt.
