Registrar
Dr. Ravichand Mandalapu brings an illustrious 26 years of teaching and leadership experience to his role as Registrar at Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education an institution deemed to be University, Vijayawada. As a Professor and Head at the same institution, he has demonstrated exceptional academic and administrative capabilities. His career, marked by academic excellence, includes over 18 years of service at Mohan Babu University, Tirupathi, where he held various positions, including Research Coordinator for the Doctoral Committee in Language and Social Sciences. He also played a significant role in overseeing the welfare of both International (PIO) and National students. Earlier he has served in various capacities at Narasaraopeta Engineering College and PNC & KR Degree College, Narasaraopet.
In addition to his academic credentials, he has completed a 500-hour International Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in TESOL/TEFL with specializations in 21st Century Teaching, Business English Teachers Training, Young Learners Teachers Training, Education Management, Train the Trainer, and Special Education. He is also a certified Master Trainer, having received certifications from the British Council, JNT University – Hyderabad, Infosys – Campus Connect, NISST, NITTTR, and NASSCOM.
He was in charge of the Soft Skills and Communication Skills Laboratory. His expertise in public speaking, personality development, campus placements, and group dynamics has made him a sought-after guest speaker at many premier educational institutions. He has also organized numerous expert lectures, workshops, Short Term Programs (STPs), and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs). His leadership roles have included serving as BOS Chairman, Training Head, Placement Officer, and Head of the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities (BS&H) for over a decade.
He has successfully guided four Ph.D. scholars from JNTU-A. He has demonstrated his research prowess by filing and publishing 24 patents, including one granted patent. His academic contributions include the publication of 10 books, 7 laboratory modules, 7 book chapters, and the editing of one book. His research has been widely recognized, with 80 papers published in prestigious SCI, Scopus, Web of Science, and UGC Care Journals. He has presented 40 research papers at national and international seminars and conferences. His editorial expertise is evident in his role as Chief Editor and Editor for three esteemed English journals.
His academic achievements have earned him numerous accolades, including the Best Professor of the Year Award in 2019 by Education Icon Awards and the Best Academician of the Year Award in 2023 from the Institute for Social Reforms and Higher Education Charitable Trust, UP.
His versatility extends to the entertainment industry, where he has appeared in a Tele-serial and a few Tollywood movies. Additionally, he served as a newsreader for two years and provided voice-over to movies.
