Overview
The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading National Professional non-profit making Society for the Technical Education System in our country with the motto of Career Development of Teachers and Personality Development of Students and overall development of our Technical Education System.

Aims & Objectives of ISTE Chapter
• Formulate the general goals and responsibilities of technical education
• To harness the knowledge of Engineering Sciences for the welfare of the society.
• Develop effective teachers and educational administrators.
• Improve Instructional methods and practices and administrative usages.
• Enhance professional ideals and standards.
• Bring out effective linkage between technical institutions, industry and society.
• Award honorary fellowships, awards and prizes for furthering the objectives of Technical Education.

ISTE @ VRSEC
• The VRSEC owes an Educational Institution Membership of ISTE for both faculty and students.
• The membership validity is life time for faculty and 4 years / 3 years as per duration of the course for the students.
• At present the chapter has around 503student members and 50 faculty members from the various departments.
• ISTE Student Chapter organizes various events like Inter departmental competitions, Quiz competitions etc.
• Organizes Guest Lectures by experts from industry, R&D, Defence services, government departments and other sources.
• Organize programmes on report writing, project management.
• Lectures on moral values and ethics.
• Discussions, brain-storming sessions, group activities.
• Training in public speaking and becoming a master Student.
