To decide policy matters on admission and to frame guidelines from time, the “Admissions Advisory Committee” is constituted with the Vice-Chancellor as Chairman and Dean admissions as convener. Merit is being given the top priority in student admissions. Admission criteria are laid out and made available on the university website in a transparent manner well ahead of the admissions schedule.

ADMISSION NOTIFICATION

To maintain a national character in admissions, the institution publishes admission notifications for various programs of study in national daily newspapers 60 days before the commencement of admissions. The notification instructs interested candidates to visit the University website or link for information on admission procedures, scholarships, and entrance tests required for admission into the programs offered by the University.

 

PROCUREMENT OF APPLICATION FORMS AND INFORMATION

Details such as intake capacity, reservation policy, admission process, fee structure, scholarships, faculty resources, infrastructural facilities and placement record are all made available through the university website.

 

In addition, the complete information regarding availability of applications, scholarships, and admission procedure and placement details is provided in multiple ways:

  • Print and Electronic Media
  • Social Networks
  • Posters and Leaflets
  • Hoardings at prominent locations including railway stations and bus stands
  • Academic Exhibitions at campuses of various educational institutions.

The details of eligibility criteria, percentage of marks required in the qualifying examination, age limit, entrance test pattern, test centers, important dates, cost of application, instructions for filling out applications, scholarships, admission procedure, and admission modes for different programs offered by the University are provided with the application form. This information is also available in the prospectus and on the University website.

Attested copies of the required eligibility documents must be attached to the application forms, as applications will not be accepted without them. Only duly completed forms, along with the requisite application fees, will be accepted by the University. The University reserves the right to accept or reject any admission if a deficiency is found in the eligibility criteria or in the information provided in the application form. If the eligibility document(s) of a candidate is/are not found genuine, at any point of time, the admission, and the marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the university is /are liable to be cancelled without any liability on the part of university and the entire fee paid will be forfeited.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

Entrance examinations are conducted at various centers across India, as determined each year by the “Admissions Advisory Committee” and approved by the Executive Council, to facilitate admissions to different programs of study. The University reserves the right to change or cancel any examination center without providing a reason. Additional details and modalities of the entrance test can be found on the University website, in the instruction guide, or in the prospectus.

COUNSELLING PROCEDURE

On successful completion of admission test results are intimated to the students through SMS and E-mail. Results are also made available in the University web site for the benefit of the students. Rank cards and counseling schedule are dispatched to the address given by the students in the application form.

As per the counseling schedule, necessary arrangements are made in the University premises for allotment of seat. Once the students and the parents reach the university campus containing all the details of the student, they are guided to the counseling hall, where the students have to register themselves on computer at registration desk.

Change of date /time of counseling is generally not permissible. If a candidate fails to appear personally for counseling on the date and time specified, he/she will forfeit his candidature for the allotment of seat in that day. However, he /she is eligible to appear for subsequent counseling depending on the availability of seats.

The candidates should produce the required documents in originals along with one set of photocopies while reporting for counseling. Candidates will not be allowed to participate in the counseling process without the documents.

VC / Registrar/ One of the Deans a senior faculty member addresses the assembled gathering of both the parents and the students in the counseling hall. The parents and the students are informed about Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education Deemed to be University, faculty strength, cutting edge curriculum, educational methodology, infrastructure facilities like labs & library, games, cultural clubs, discipline etc. They explain to the students about the courses offered, fee structure, scholarships and employment opportunities. They also inform about the hostel and transport facility for the students. On conclusion they give information about the availability of senior faculty members and counselors of different branches to clarify their doubts. Prospectus and leaflets containing the above information are distributed to the gathering.

After verification of eligibility criteria and authentication of qualification and certificates the parents and the students who are ready to pay the fee, are directed to enter the details regarding fee and other in the computer by system operators to get challan and advise them to pay the prescribed admission fee and 1st semester tuition fee in the bank. Before paying the fee, the counselors explain the parents about the cancelation of admission and fee refund norms. On paying the fee the student is advised to submit certificates. After paying the prescribed fee and submission of original certificates, finally seat allotment order is issued to the admitted student.

Provisional allotment will be given on merit basis through counseling for B. Tech, B. Com, B. Sc., LLM, M. Tech, MBA, MCA and Ph. D.

RESERVATION POLICY

  • The university strictly follows the policy on reservations in admission in accordance with the provisions of the constitution of India and any act of parliament for the time being in force as per the UGC guidelines.
