SIEMENS CENTER OF EXCELLENCE
SIEMENS Centre of Excellence (COE) sanctioned to the institute, establishing 15 laboratories in accordance with the agreement between AP State Skill Development Corporation, SIEMENS and V.R Siddhartha Engineering College.
The COE has two laboratories related to Instrumentation department. They are
Automation Lab: In this lab students will be trained on Industrial PLC programming and SCADA. After training Students are able to program PLC, design graphics displays for Human Machine Interface (HMI), do user administration, Background processing and report design for logging.
Process Instrumentation Lab: In this lab students are trained on Industrial process instrumentation and SIMATIC PCS. At the end of training students are able to measure the various process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow etc. Students are able to use PCS7 to configure process hardware and able to work with plant hierarchy.
The third year students are trained in this two laboratories to acquire the industry required skills.
