Department of Physical Education
To motivate games and Sports activities among student community and create bonhomie, Department of Physical Education has been encouraging and promoting sports activities for both men and women students and staff of the University during the academic year. Our magnanimous management i.e., Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education, Head of the Institution of the University, and Different Department Heads and Faculty members extended their guidance in successful conduct of the tournaments and activities from time to time. Every academic year, our college team players have represented in different events for JNTU Kakinada Teams selection trials, Hockey, Basketball, Archery, Football, Table Tennis, Cricket, Kho-kho, Badminton, Handball, Riffle shooting, swimming teams for participation at National/All India / South-zone inter-university Tournaments, and also inter-collegiate tournaments as per the schedule of the Sports Council of JNTUK.
The Institute possesses good sports facilities. Gym, Indore stadium, playground, good facilities for various games such as Football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, shuttle and recreation facilities are available. Students are selected into university teams and representing JNTU Kakinada in Hockey, Basketball, Archery, Football, Table Tennis, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Badminton, all India / South-zone inter-university tournaments, and also inter-collegiate tournaments as per the schedule of the Sports Council of JNTUK.
The University gives adequate importance to Sports and games. It has 10acres of land for play fields. The department of Physical Education has enough facilities for both outdoor and indoor games. The institution hosts inter University zonal tournaments in the campus.
Outdoor games:
Adequate facilities are provided for Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Ball badminton, Khokho, Tennicoit, Throwball and Basketball. Two Cricket net Practice arenas with Astro layer are provided. Facilities for Sports such as long jump, high jump, short put, disc throw and 400 meter eight lane standard track are provided.
Indoor games:
The University has 661.8sqm. built-up area available to facilitate the indoor games such as Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess.
Gymnasium:
Gymnasia are available at the department of physical education and in the women’s hostel. Cardio exercises equipment such as cross trainer, treadmill are available at Girls’ hostel.
