Vission The Department of Mechanical Engineering endeavours to become a centre of academic excellence and research.

Mission  Prepare graduates by providing a comprehensive knowledge and experience in a state of the art mechanical engineering education to become creatvie, inquisitive and innovative professional in global environment.


Programme Education Objectives

 I. Progress in professional career with a solid foundation in mathematics, science and Engineering Scinces

II. Solve real time engineering problems using professional knowledge and skills resulting in significant societal

III. Demonstrate multidisciplinary skills to analyze engineering issues in a broader perspective with ethical
    responsibility towards sustainable development

IV. Demonstrate interpersonal skills, leadership and team building to achieve organization goals and pursue lifelong
     learning and higher education necessary for successful profession


Programme Outcomes :

a) An ability to apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals

b) An ability to conduct Investigations using design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data to arrive at valid

c) An ability to design mechanical engineering components and processes within economic, environmental, ethical
    and manufacturability constraints

d) An ability to function effectively in multidisciplinary teams

e) An ability to identify, formulate, analyse and solve Mechanical Engineering problems

f) An ability to understand professional, ethical and social responsibility

g) An ability to communicate effectively through written reports or oral presentations

h) The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, 
    environmental, and societal context

i) An ability to recognize the need and to engage in independent and life-long learning.
