3D Experience Centre

3D Experience Centre

“3D Experience Center” is a facility created in the Mechanical Engineering department with the support of APSSDC in collaboration with Dassault Systemes. The center has been established with the support of A. P. government to fulfill the objective of bringing qualitative improvement in technical education, improve industry-academia interaction, to enhance employability of undergraduate students and to create a pool of skilled work force, in order to cater to the human resource requirement of the Manufacturing sector.

This center is being extensively used for imparting skills with regard to solid modeling and analysis of mechanical components to all undergraduate mechanical engineering students, in a phased manner. Students are expected to get a practical insight pertaining to the engineering design process from the product life cycle perspective of a mechanical system. The facility is being extended to M tech (CAD/CAM) students for learning relevant aspects and for carrying out PG and research projects.

The center uses following software for modeling and simulation of mechanical components & assembly.

CATIA SIMULIA DELMIA
  • Sketcher
  • Part Design
  • Assembly Design
  • Generative Shape Design
  • Structural Model
  • Structural Scenario
  • Process Planning
  • Manufactured Item Definition
  • Plant Layout Design
  • Equipment Allocation
