S&H Laboratories

Chemistry Laboratory

The Department of chemistry has two laboratories – B. Tech chemistry lab and Research lab, both established at the time of establishment of the Department. B. Tech lab has capacity of accommodating 65 students at a time for performing their experiments. It is equipped with all the apparatus, instruments and facilities required for conducting experiments for first year B. Tech students. The Research lab is mainly used by the faculty members of the Department for their research activities. The facilities of the laboratories are extended for both B. Tech and M. Tech students for carrying out their minor and major projects involving chemical reactions and analysis of samples for various chemical parameters.

English Laboratory

The department believes in a holistic development of linguistic capabilities of the students in addition to other soft skills.
Academic Material Base-

III) Software – Visionet Info Solutions, New Delhi – Licensed Software

Physics Laboratory

Engineering Physics Laboratory imparts the necessary theoretical knowledge and technical skill for all the branches of engineering students during 1st/2nd semesters of B.Tech to handle the precision tools and electronic gadgets. The basic focus in the Engineering Physics Laboratory is to develop scientific temper and encourage students to innovate in diverse technical areas for better understanding of technical and engineering problems. A comprehensive demonstration is carried out by the faculty members for each experiment in every lab class to help the students in better understanding of the experimental procedure and the theoretical concepts. In addition to the above mentioned regular assignments, Engineering Physics Laboratory is also actively engaged in research and development activities

Freshmen Computer Centre

There are two Freshmen Computer Centres in the S&H Departments – FMC-I and FMC-II. There are 130 high end computer systems in both the laboratories, thus accommodating 130 students for performing their experiments. It is equipped with all the facilities required for conducting experiments for first year B. Tech students. In the 1st Semester they understand and apply MS Office tools, Configure the components on the motherboard and install different operating systems, understand and configure different storage media and perform networking, troubleshooting and system administration tasks. In the 2nd Semester they implement the use of programming constructs in a structured oriented programming language, analyze and implement user defined functions to solve real time problems, implement the usage of pointers and file operations on data and implement the user defined data types via structures and unions to solve real life problems.
